The Diamond Brothers is a popular detective books series by the british author, Anthony Horowitz. The first book, The Falcon's Malteser was released in 1986, while the last book was published in 2007.

The books are written by Nickolas Simple, a 13 year old teenager[1], who lives with his elder brother, Tim Diamond, since their parents have emigrated to Australia.
Tim has a small and unsuccessful detective office in their apartment, but rarely has any clients. When they do show up, they are usually from out of the country and have not heard of the dismal way Tim handles cases, or are totaly desperate.

Nick Diamond ♥[]

Tim's young brother. The book is written from his point of view. He always get into trouble with the Police and criminals, but always successfully solve the cases from Tim's detective office.
Tim Diamond[]

Tim Diamond is Nick's brother, who works as a private detective. He changed his name from "Herbert Timothy Simple" to "Tim Diamond", hopefully they will have more clients due to the name.
His first job was working in the Police, but his many failures have caused him to loose his office, and he's been a private detective ever since.
He is not very wise, but always gets out of conflicts.
Freddy Snape ♥[]

Snape is the chief inspector of the police. He worked as an inspector when Tim was still hired as a policeman, and is usually glad to remind his failures, and has even arrested Tim and Nick several times, yet he still help the brothers when they are in danger.
Boyle[]

Boyle is Snape's helper. He is short, and has curly hair. He has become very violent, after watching lots of action movies.
The turn in the plot happens in the first book of the series, where a midgit named Johnny Naples enters their office, and asks them to keep for him a small package for a week. By this time, Johnny had got killed, and dangerous criminals are after them, looking for the mysterious package. By the end of the
